I’ve been studying Richard III’s birth chart myself and your article has been so helpful, as it’s easy to take an anecdotal piece of information like the ascendant at face value. It was only when I too wanted to investigate the source of that information that I came across your blog. I’ve read that there is a way that a rising sign can be calculated, by looking at pivotal events in an individual’s life, as a relative ‘newbie’ to the study of astrology, I can’t tell you the details of how one does this, other than it warns that it’s a painstaking process! Either way, I agree, it’s best to leave the ascendant and House placements out of the chart. I too, think it’s still very worthwhile investigating the information that IS available in Richard’s chart however, and I’ve come to the same conclusions as you have on my own pretty much! I do think, Richard was a man with a lot of inner conflict (that Venus opposition moon, Mars opposition sun and Saturn opposition Mars, would have caused a good deal of inner tension, especially with his Mars in retrograde.) I’ve looked at some of the asteroids for a little more info and that seems to substantiate much of what you say here. He has a retrograde Mars and retrograde Nessus conjunction, which a professional astrologer friend tells me, is quite detrimental. In a word the man was complex!

I’ve also been looking into Anne Neville’s birth chart, their synastry and composite charts – again, fascinating and very worthwhile and actually not I suspect, the ‘romantic novel’ union some assume (some nasty ‘red flags’ in their composite for instance) but once again without either birth times, the interpretation still has to be fairly ‘open’, which has been my approach thus far! I’m writing all this up in a sort of ‘book’ but can’t decide whether to publish this on-line or not, I do need a far more experienced astrologer to look through my work, just to be sure! But – what I do have is quite a revelation in itself and has kept me busy for six months now!

I’m not completely sure I have a full understanding of your question, but let me share my thoughts.
Okay, so the ‘dumper’ is reversed followed by death. That’s an end to that then! He’s gone.
The Pope is indeed communication, but this is most likely the questioner (Let’s say female) running it past her friends, then with the 8 wands, learning to have a laugh again and feeling sexy once more.
I don’t see the pope or the 8 being related to the ‘dumper’ but to how the questioner manages to move forwards and feel good about herslef again.

Some people hide and like to lick their wounds, but this person likes to off-load and get it out of their system.

Thank you for your wonderful words of parise for my books.
I have a very slim volume that I’ve nearly finished, which is a basic beginnings guide to tarot. Maybe I’ll manage to finish it this year!
